Offshore Wind Call for Information NS25-1R Public Information Webinar
The offshore wind Call for Information NS25-1R public information webinar took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm AST.
The purpose of the webinar was to share details about the offshore wind Call for Information NS25-1R with Indigenous groups and rights holders, the fishing sector, industry, government, the public, and other stakeholders. Attendees had an opportunity to ask questions of CNSOER staff during the webinar.
Attendees heard from Christine Bonnell-Eisnor, CNSOER's CEO, who shared what we do and our mandate. Kris Kendell, CNSOER's Director, Resources & Rights, and Chief Conservation Officer, presented an overview of the offshore renewable energy land tenure NS25-1R process, as well as overviews of the offshore wind Prequalification and Call for Information NS25-1R processes. Christine and Kris answered questions that were received in advance of the webinar and those that were asked once presentations concluded.

Reminder
As part of the offshore wind Call for Information NS25-1R, the CNSOER invites Indigenous groups and rights holders, the fishing sector, industry, government, the public, and other interested stakeholders to provide written feedback on the details shared in the Strategic Direction letter from governments.
During the Call for Information, the CNSOER will also seek feedback on the possible terms and conditions of the submerged land licence, coexistence, fisheries compensation, participant funding program, and general feedback.
